And ramping up how they hold public officials ACCOUNTABLE, while killing off their inner "access journalism" bent, a runaway cancer in the industry. Why broadcast/cable TV? They are the first to be sucked into the vortex of playing for TV ratings... and racing to the bottom to collect viewers, dumbing down, ginning up segments for the greatest appeal. It's the lazy way out too. Result: Americans "FEEL" the Big Picure, but don't have a clue how we got here due to the national narrative being sooooo ratings driven, and journalists simply NOT DOING THEIR Big Picture HOMEWORK.
