You're going to the Mayo Clinic, and touting it as a model of good health care. Wrong. I went there 2-1/2 years ago and was treated like a piece of meat. I was sick, but they made me run all over the complex, with no guidance as to how to get from clinic to clinic: no maps, no clear directions, just vague, inaccurate verbal instructions that had me running all over the complex, making me sicker, to the point where I couldn't talk clearly or think clearly. Literally. It was a terrible experience. They obviously have no consideration for the well-being of their patients in-between visits to one clinic and the other. Cold and insensitive, and when I complained, they gave me The Look that said it was all my fault. When I finished at my last station, they told me to just go home. No follow-up meeting, no thank-you for visiting our Clinic, just go home, now. Wow! This is a very ugly place to be sick in. Dylan, ask them why they treat their patients this way.
BTW, at the end of everything, they came up with nothing worthwhile in diagnosing my problem. A waste of my time and money, but an education in how really bad the Mayo Clinic is in the way it acts toward its patients. Awful.
Solution: Just be supportive and treat decently the sick people who come in the front door for help. If they can't do that, cut their payments in half. Money, or the lack of it, always gets the attention of places like this.

My wife and I pay large money for healthcare and todays physicians can't/won't diagnose problem, only prescribe pills for symptoms which causes more/different issues. FACT - Modern USA healthcare kills 1/4 million citizens each year.

The American Health Care system is and atrocity engineered by special interests. Those who cannot obtain large scale group coverage are being financially destroyed by exorbitant premiums for woefully in adequate coverage. People are going broke and dying needlessly. It is America’s shame.

Both parties are totally corrupt in regards to the issue and as such we need a wedge issue to break through. That issue is to force all Congressmen, Senators and the President to forgo their government sponsored heath insurance and to buy it in the open markets.

Let’s call it the Health Care Equality Act.

By definition, any legislator which does not support this is saying they refuse to live like a large and increasing part of America. Use the obviousness of their hypocrisy to break through the layers of corruption. It is the only way to real reform

The state gives out tax breaks to companies and tax credits to individuals to try and stimulate the economy. Well, why not instead take that money and provide health care cost free for everyone up until a maximum value of around $5000? Most healthy young people won't need even this much care. After the maximum government benefit amount is reached the equivalent of a high deductible insurance plan would kick in. Most people would still be required to buy this part but it should be more affordable since the insurance companies will no longer deal with managing care. There would be no caps on this catastrophic care insurance and no denial of coverage allowed for any reason.
So this is a hybrid of the medicare for all model and the everyone has to cover themselves or be covered by government programs like medicaid, VA or medicare model. This would help relieve some of the financial burdens of health cost both for businesses and individuals and so would end up stimulating the economy which is what that money was originally for any way right? This hybrid plan keeps what is good about insurance which is a way to cushion the financial blow of rare events and also keeps what is good about medicare for all, which is the safety net of basic or routine care that everyone is likely to need at some point.

The provider can charge less if they want but not more than the cap price. An example would be say no more than $150 for a regular office visit or $250 for a specialist. A price cap would be in place for each medicine as well as every medical device. An appeals process would be available to providers who want to raise one of the limits, and all of caps would undergo regular reviews maybe every few years. This is something like what Japan does. It is the best and most direct way to control prices which are spiraling out of control because sick people have no other choice but to pay whatever the market will let the drug company charge or let the hospital charge. Because the sick have no choice regular market forces already do not apply to medical spending.

8. One year time limit on fighting wars.
9. Congressman must Balance the budget or lose half of salary.
10. Get rid of electorial college for direct vote. Max campaig donation $10k.

No one can attack it as a social government program, or defund it or wreck it through government shills and lobbyists. It will operate exactly like the government option was intended to operate.

Our hope is to have the labor unions jointly take this public project over. Union members alone would number in the millions. And if not, we will do it together ourselves.

The interwoven fabric of our health care system is fundamentally sound and is simply too large to dismantle and institute a new system. By simply limiting the yearly cost of all health care for all Americans to the $2,725,000,000,000 we spent in 2010 (allocating approximately *$9,000.00 per American). All payments paid for health care would be paid thru a payroll deduction, much as social security is collected and all future increases to insurance companies would be tied to some metric of inflation. By capping the money insurance companies collect; they would have to keep Americans more healthy and become more efficient to ensure they remain profitable. There is more than enough profit in the system to insure all Americans and do away with preexisting conditions and life time medical caps. It’s not the care we receive, its the strangle hold the health care industry has on Americans. The quickest and easiest way to solve our heath care system is to let the health care system self regulate itself. We would also need to remove all profit restraints on insurance companies, let insurance company compete across state lines and make all health care costs 100 percent tax deductible.

We lost a great opportunity to boost American competivness vis-a-vi All of our International competitors. Blown was an opportunity to relieve American businesses of the current burdon to foot the bill for the American health care system.

The solution to the underemployment problem IS to take the burdon of providing American health care, to American workers, OFF the BACK of American Business.

Removing the burdon from the back of American businesses will free up billions of dollars, many of which will be used to hire more people, while American business will receive a huge boost to our International competivness.

So how do we pay for it??? 
A minuscule surcharge on every exchange of money based on the value of the transaction. A 1 mil surcharge will amount to 1 cent for every $10 dollars of the transaction. In modern day America it should be easy to redirect 1mil per ever$10 (to be direct deposited) to the Federal treasury. A virtual river of money, ever growing, flowing into the Federal treasury every second of the day, 365 days a year.
