Resolving the financial threats to the soundness of Social Security and Medicare.
We must not cut Medicare and Social Security to individuals who have been paying into these systems for decades. For those of us who have been paying into Sociall Security and Medicare since our first paid jobs as teenagers, with the expectation that we have the right to expect that we will have a modest and continuing source of income after we have stopped working as well as access to affordable medical services. If we do not have access to these benefits due to a combination of misuse of the funds collected from us, and an imposition of an income… more

Stop punishing us for working. Eliminate ALL current taxes. Start a National Sales Tax!
If we got to keep all the monet we earned, saved, invested, found, won, inherited, etc... we would buy stuff! Factories would have to hire more workers. Those workers would buy stuff. Factories would... well you get it. This economy would explode! Even the crooks who currently evade income taxes would pay their share when they bought yachts and diamonds and mansions.

Stop Tax Breaks for Anti-American Corps: Defined Pro-USA Measures to Earn IRS Tax Deduction
Corporations whose business decisions and international trade actions are detrimental to the economy of the United States should not be "rewarded" for such actions. Thus, the protections afforded to a corporation by its status as an American corporation should be earned and deserved. Thus, we can simply grant or take away IRS tax benefits based upon the following: 1) The measurement of jobs created, lost or maintained; 2) Whether the USA is the location of the largest percentage greater than a threshhold of say 60% of the company's employees; 3) Benefits afforded to employers for each non-H1B employee; 4) Thresshold… more

Pay a Guaranteed Basic Income
Use income taxes to just simply pay every adult a $20k per year dividend and another $30k to every worker/student/volunteer instead of sending our taxes down an unresponsive government bureaucracy sinkhole. It would solve every problem we have. 70% of the jobs we do (that nobody has any interest in doing) can be automated today.

Tax Corporations that send any type of job offshore. This tax would be equal to jobs lost. Americans
Are great workers and the loss of generations working for the same employer are gone. Tax over 1 million at the pre-Bush tax cut. Make it permanent for those under that fiqure. Politicians, you were elected not for your personal views but ours. Don't mis understand our needs...you seem to have yours. I submit, no elected official should make more than the average income of their district. Lobbyist that contribute must pay a tax equal to the amount given and to who received will have a tax equal to the amount received. Get America to work!

Rising School and Property Taxes
Since all counties are in a budget shortfall, why cann't churches, mosques, and synagogues pay property taxes until the budget is balanced. I am seeing really big new churches going up all over. It seems there is sufficient funds to pay property taxes.

Tax manufactured good not "Made In America"
Tax manufactured goods
not "Made In America". There could be several layers of taxation. Finished manufactured goods would be taxed the highest and semi-finished goods less. Raw material should be tax free and fresh produce should only have a minimal tax.3 votes -
Tax revenues
To increase tax revenues, elective cosmetic surgery, on which Americans spend billions out-of pocket annually, should be taxed

Creating jobs through smart tax breaks
The United States has a high corperate tax rate of around 35%. What if we give businesses tax breaks of up to 10% but for them to qualify they have to use 5% of the tax break to hire new workers. Companies that have billions in profits could end up using some of that money to hire more people and gain more profit. I think this would encourage business to take the tax break because they get more workers that could increase quality and more profit could increase more investment which would also increase the economy. In reality the 10%… more

Teachers Salaries
Teachers should get a 10% pay cut. Look at their benefits -- time off, great health care, pension, job security. This money could then be used to lower our property taxes. When things change we could revisit the pay scale.

Pretax Income
Help simplfy the tax code by getting rid of deductions and allow for more pre-tax paying for Student Loans, mortgage and even a Healthy Food benefit card for everyone that wants to use pre-tax income to go onto a card that can be used only to buy food (similar to the food stamp benefit card).

TAXES
THE SAD PART OF THE WAY YOU LIBERALS ATTACK THE RICH FOR NOT PAYING THEIR “FAIR SHARE” OF TAXES BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T RAISE THE RATE TO 39% AND USING BILLIONAIRES AS THE REASON, IS THAT IT IS DISTORTED. USE BUFFET AS A GOOD EXAMPLE. YOUR RIGHT, HE DOESN’T PAY HIS FAIR SHARE. HOWEVER, HE ONLY PAYS A LITTLE OVER 10% NOW. RAISING THE RATE WOULDN’T AFFECT HIM, OR THE OTHERS WITH GREAT WEALTH, BECAUSE THE MORE MONEY YOU HAVE, THE LESS % YOU PAY DUE TO THEM BEING ABLE TO YOU USE ALL THE TAX LOOPHOLES. THE FACT IS, THAT… more

Tax the export of steel scrap and iron ore
This country needs to manufacture steel to start a recovery in manufacturing. The loss of the manufacturing is the root cause of our failure to compete on the world market.

fix most things wrong with the economy
Tax land, not buildings, earnings or wealth. All land - no exceptions whatsoever.
Easy to collect - no-one can take land to a tax haven.
Collect taxes on the rental value of land (high in Manhattan, low on grazing land) - no payroll or income taxes of any kind - no more undeserved rewards for land owners for the infrastructure evryone else pays for. If you get wealthy you (or your heirs) stay wealthy for as long as you or they can make either make more efficient use of the land or can afford to compensate the commonwealth for the… more1 vote
