Show Congress that their jobs depend on the voter, not the special interest - vote them out!
It is a very easy thing to do. I don't care who your congressperson or senator is, they are, by definition, part of the problem (even Ron Paul, because he enables the rest). It takes less than a minute to find out who they are, and vote for someone else. If everyone did this, they would quickly (a couple of election cycles) learn who they really answer to.
and here we have it the biggest problem of them all "the greed and corruption in our gov."
I'd vote for this. But this is a half-step. Behind our so called representatives are the corporations owning our representatives via well paid lobbyists. The corporation never dies. Like the movie " Terminator" they keep coming back and back. Time is on their side. The next step is a constitutional amendment defeating the supreme Court's Citizens United ruling and getting corporate money finally out of politics.
Problems in this area include:
Politicians of both parties seem to be owned by the special interests. Democrats less so than Republicans, but still it seems there is no "special-interest-influence-free" politician. What we need are politicians who are "owned" by the special interest known as "The American People"

This is so simple to implement, it does not take a constitutional amendment, all it takes is a small effort from every voter, to actually hold their elected officials responsible for their actions and policies.

This is the fundamental truth that we as citizens in a democracy have forgotten. Only when we forgot, our elected officials forgot as well. Once we reign in congress we can get our government to work for us instead of special interest. A+!
