Solving most of our problems: Democratic meritocracy
A government need not be democratic to be representative. In fact, it is the height of irony, that democracy is often the system of government that is least representative due to influence from special interests. The electoral process may be representative in intention, but it is corrupted by special interests in practice. In fact most democracies outside the wealthy industrialized nations have often failed and become dictatorships, case in point, Venezuela. A demagogue sways the rule of the illiterate mob to Change the constitution to gve himself limitless powers, staff his cabinet with friends, and intimidate the media through tacit…

Repeal mandate enabling corporations the rights of persons without the accountability. Regulate them
What's the point of having a government that colludes with corporations? Wonder if we wouldn't be better off without one if no regulatory apparatus exists for unaccountable institutions. Let them prove their worth to the public they thrive on or ban them, revoke their charters.

End the privatization of public officials; buy back OUR politicans with publicly financed campaigns.
Lobbyists and corporations having legislation-on-retainer powers via their privatizing our own public officials and leaders is criminal. Make the smartest investment we can make; publicly finance public offices. Stopping the buying-out, selling-out corruption is Job One.

public funding of elections
Until elections are publically funded and giving or accepting bribes earn felony prison sentances and forfiture of assets, nothing is ever going to change. Ogliarchies do not care about jobs for the masses.

Getting rid of LOBBYISTS!
I'm sick of these politicians catering to lobbyists and not voters. This country needs some MAJOR campaign finance reform.

repeal supreme court ruling
a corporation is NOT a person. Supreme court decision is illegal. Their Boards of Directors and Executives should NOT be allowed to effect a flood of money into the system.

Do not extend tax cuts for the wealthy
Deficit spending in the U.S. is out of control and extending the Bush era tax cuts for the wealthiest among us is adding to this problem

Public financing of elections! No campaign ads, public debates only!
airwaves are public, televised debates should be mandated.
If we have umpteen holidays in a year, are national elections not important enough to have a National Election Day??90 votes -
Reject "Charge-it & Forget-it Conservativism" and their "Starve the Beast" fiscal strategy.
Reagan forever changed the fiscal landscape when he demonized "Tax & Spend (paygo) Liberals". The Reagan Revolution dawned a new era of Charge-it & Forget-it budget financing. The National Debt exploded from $1.0 Trillion in 1981 to today's $14 Trillion PLUS the additional $8 Trillion in net interest carrying cost, $22+ Trillion in debt costs, seriously jepordizing the American Dream.

Use our combined buying power as customers to reverse corporate takeover of our government.
First, we won’t get any meaningful changes through simply identifying the problems and complaining or through the current already rigged political and legal system. One that multinational corporations have bought, own and control through their combined spending of billions in campaign contributions and lobbyists. Corporations have put politicians in government to deregulate themselves, allow them to ship jobs overseas, create corporate tax loopholes, suck multimillion dollar quarterly bonuses out for a select few while laying off workers and cutting salaries, even deregulated banks so they can legally rob you. This is neither democracy or free enterprise. Our government has been…

Show Congress that their jobs depend on the voter, not the special interest - vote them out!
It is a very easy thing to do. I don't care who your congressperson or senator is, they are, by definition, part of the problem (even Ron Paul, because he enables the rest). It takes less than a minute to find out who they are, and vote for someone else. If everyone did this, they would quickly (a couple of election cycles) learn who they really answer to.

Bring back "Public Service": Drop congress' pay from $174,00 down to the US median income of $49k.
Tie congress' fate to rank & file Americans fate. It should be 100% about their desire to Serve the Public; NOT the corrupting power & riches that make them fight so hard to KEEP the public job. Spouses can work too, so this is actually still ABOVE the personal median, tagging it to combined US Median Household income. An average 401(k) plan to boot. Basically... they should not fight sooooo hard & dirty just to keep an average paying job, since they are there for their pure desire to serve the public. And true Public Servants would not mind much…

One Bill One Purpose
It's time for One Bill One Purpose: a movement focused on cleansing legislative detritus from the bill making process.
Earmarks, loopholes, and favors exist as a result of the ease with which unrelated legislation can be inserted into bills. Amending caustic, vile, or controversial legislative detritus is also a tactic to kill bills. If lawmakers continue treating bills as containers for mixing disparate issues, then it will be difficult to affect positive change in our legislative process.
We need a One Bill, One Purpose movement whose goal it is to change the process of bill making. In particular, the allowed…

Staff up Anti-Trust division at Attorney General's offices; BUST the trusts, oligarchs, monopolies
Unproductive merger mania in America is based primarily on out of control greed, thirst for power, and CEO egomania narcissim, leading to LESS & LESS comptitive markets and competition... which leads to MORE & MORE screwing of the consumer.

Lets Reverse all Bush policies and make Corporate America responsible to America again
We cannot endorse "off-shoring" and "downsizing" and remain with a strong, healthy economy. American business has a new breed of manager running these companies essential for profit only; they are risk adverse, and do not invest in R&D, or science, or technology. That ideology cannot exist if we are to move forward and make progress.

Eliminate Career Politicians - House or Senate for 6 yrs - Period. No More Political Puppets!
We Agree our Politicians, R or D, Vote in Favor for the Special Interests who will give them $$$ to be Re-Elected. Eliminate the Re-Election. Restrict the Years of Public Service to 6. NOT 4 Years and then You Vote Only for Those Who Will Give You $$$ for the Next 4 Years... Simply 6 Years and Done! Then Our Politicians Might Start Voting In Ways To Benefit the People The Represent -…
